The object of sub-section (II) of section 1 of this Ordinance is -
(a) to make it clear that resumption includes acquisition, and (b) to define what is meant by a "Public purpose".
Section 4 of this Ordinance introduced a small amendment in the Consequential amendment of Section 3 of Ordinance 23 of 1887, which is required for the purpose of bringing the wording of that section into line with Section 14.
Section 5 of the Ordinance introduces an amendment in Section 14 of Ordinance 23 of 1889 with the object of bringing that section into line with the definition contained in Section 3 of this Ordinance.
